    Antique Rosenthal Fish Plate with Large Green Fish
    A striking large fish swims across this 9 inch antique Rosenthal plate from Germany. Wonderful sea plants form a background for the fish. Scalloped gilding decorates the edge of the plate and there is a narrow gilded band around the central design. On the bottom of the plate is the mark for Rosenthal, "Selb Bavaria" and "Versailles." The company was founded in 1879. The unglazed bottom rim has a couple of nips, looking like they were done in the making. The gilding is in fine condition and there are no hairlines, crazing, or repairs.
