Bjørn Wiinblad (1918 - 2006), was a Danish painter, designer and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles and graphics. His work has been shown widely in Europe, the United States, Japan, Australia and Canada and his highly prized work can be found in thousands of collections throughout the world. In 1985, Wiinblad was named Man of the Year in New York for his contribution to the arts and in 1995 he was given the American-Scandinavian Foundation’s Cultural Award.
