Rosenthal FORNASETTI Temi e Variazioni Motiv 33 Plate Gold Rimmed Vintage RARE

This rare Tema e Variazioni plate licensed by Rosenthal in the 90's is highly collectable. This version is numbered 33 with gold trim and measures 9 1/4" round. Made in Germany.
The current version from the 2000's is still available on the Fornasetti site in Italy, but does not have gold trim or the Rosenthal makers mark. The current number is 180 and measures 10" round. Made in Italy.
Lina Cavalieri emerged from the pages of a late 19th century magazine, a classical beauty with an enigmatic gaze. Fascinated by her, Piero Fornasetti dedicated an endless series of variations, multiples, games, poetic ideas and metaphysical portraits to the face of the famous opera singer. An icon that has become the symbol of Fornasetti and his poetics.
It is in wonderful vintage condition without any chips, cracks or crazing.
There is a hanger on the back for display.
