Stunning 6-pc Antique RC Rosenthal LOUIS XIV Tea Service Set with Tray circa 1891-1906
Beautiful handmade and hand painted porcelain tea service set.
Set includes: Teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, 2 cups, and a serving tray.
A pattern with pastel colored clusters of florals.
Every piece has an elegant border with embossed foliage highlighted in gold. All handles on the lids appear to be a pair of scrolls with a single leaf in between.
Under glazed blue backstamp with a crown above two crossed lines and the initials R C and Louis XIV. Also, Germany is stamped in red on some of the pieces.
This is the original mark Philipp Rosenthal & Co. used between 1891 and 1906.
Rosenthal Porcelain was founded over 120 years ago in upper Franconia as the the Porzellanfabrik Philipp Rosenthal & Co. Rosenthal porcelain and glass defines itself with elegance and German quality of the highest standards.

Condition:
This is an elegant and delicate tea set recommended for display use only. Overall it is in very good antique condition with some flaws that have been pictured. There is a one inch hairline crack leading up to a chip on the side of one of the cups (picture #9). The cup however still feels sturdy and not like it is about to break as one picks it up. One small chip underneath the rim on that same cup (picture #12). One small chip underneath the creamer rim (picture #11). There is an old repair on the creamer's lid handle (picture # 10). Other than what we mentioned above, this set is free of any other cracks, chips, crazing, or repairs.

RETURNS:

Postage is not refundable and items may be subject to a 15% restocking fee which will be charged if the buyer changes their mind for any other reason (including size or fit) other than a problem with the item.
